I was working on the third question of this exercise. I don’t now where to begin as in the previous question your not even supposed to work out an answer. But how can you give answer to 3.3 if you don’t have an explicit expression for n_h and n_e?

Perhaps a good question to ask is what is the physical meaning of the total number of electrons in a band plus the total number of holes in a band? For that remember that for every electron that is missing a hole is added.
