Hi,

I do not get how they get the factor (1/2) and (1/pi) in the answer of question 1.1. If i fill in the formula nenh = NcNv* exp(-Eg/kt) and for Nc = 2*(2mepikbT/(h^2))^(3/2) and for Nv = 2*(2mhpikbT/(h^2))^(3/2) I do not get this answer. Can you please explain how you calculate this?

The answer has \hbar and not h, did you notice that?
