I don’t exactly see how these are primitive lattice vector. If you for instance start at the point (0,0,0) and draw the vectors, there is no B atom in the middle of the cube. But if you than draw the vectors from for instance (1/2,0,0), there is a B atom situated in the middle.
Please compare this with
