You have to give more information here: what difference are you talking about?
The website uses E_0 -/+ t and the book uses E_0 +/- | t | . So the website has a minus-plus and the book: plus-minus with absolute t. I don’t see how plus-minus with absolute t is the same as minus-plus without absolute t.
I see. In that case, your question is about notation, and not about the solutions being different. In the lecture notes we choose the signs such that E_+ corresponds to the symmetric wave function. In the book E_+ corresponds to the state with the higher energy.
